#1 Through the Mist the Sun Shines

We will reflect on the major turning points in our life and trace our life’s journey so far.  Loosely based on the Japanese emaki painted handscrolls that tell stories, we will create a scroll incorporating symbols and multi-sensory cues that can give us a sense of re-discovery, helping clarify from where we’ve come and in translating spirit into this visible form create a template for future discovery.

Danielle Gagnier explores self-knowledge through creativity and her personal practice includes being outside in nature,

pottery, yoga, Buddhist Dharma, Vipassana and Metta meditation. Danielle has a degree in Fine and Performing Arts,

and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.

Sandi Strate, a counsellor at Douglas College, defines herself as an energetic, caring and compassionate counsellor and mother whose life events have taught her that life is more than “doing”; it is also “being”. She has degrees in Education and Arts and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.

#2 Exploring and Developing your Intuition

The workshop offers a safe-place where we can explore various ways to tune into our own feminine intuitive senses and to reclaim our inner voices. Participants will be introduced to various contemplative techniques that include the qualities of imagery, colour and sound. The participants will have the chance to benefit from learning practical methods that can be easily incorporated into everyday life.

Raziel Ross is a British clairvoyant, medium and psychometrist. Raziel is a certified Jewish meditation teacher. She has facilitated workshops in educational institutes across North America, in subjects including meditation, healing and psychic development. Raziel resides in Vancouver B.C.  www.razielross.com

#3 Ta Ke Ti Na:  Journey to Inner Stillness

Explore the path to inner stillness by engaging with, and ultimately transcending, the polarities between inner & outer, body & mind, self & other, soul & spirit. With your own voice as map and guide, and your own body as musical instrument, allow yourself to be carried by archetypal rhythms which have been present in our universe since the beginning of time.

Shasta Martinuk has been working with various modalities of healing sound for 14 years.  She has recently become one of the first two certified TaKeTiNa teachers in Canada.  Music is her joy, her practice and her spiritual path. www.rhythmkeepers.ca

#4 Spiritual Dreamwork: Creative personal experiences for the transformation of self in Spirit

Listening to dreams as a way to follow a spiritual path and transform individual lives is a long and rich tradition in many cultures. This workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn about dreamwork practice to deepen their personal spiritual journeys. No previous experience is necessary.

Kirsten Maier is an experienced therapist in private practice in Vancouver.  A PhD student in Counselling Psychology at UBC, she has studied Spiritual Direction at the Vancouver School of Theology.

AFTERNOON SESSIONS

1:45 – 3:15

#5 The Art of (Sub)Consciousness: Creating Prosperity through Sacred Collage

Manifest your dreams and divine desires by working with the subconscious mind through sacred collage. In this workshop, you will create a divine dream for your life through images, words, and other visual materials that activate your aliveness. Using your collage as a point of focus, you will learn how Spirit transforms itself into substance, and that love, goodness and abundance is yours by birthright. Please bring images (from magazines, newspapers, photographs, etc) that represent what you wish to create in your life. Some collage materials will also be provided.

Catherine Wilcox (M.Ed., Counselling Psych) is a writer and healing arts practitioner that works and plays in Vancouver. Her fascinations with goodness and consciousness can be followed on her blog: www.feedthelion.blogspot.com

#6 The Radiant Soul of Yoga

Come join in an exploration of your own essential nature.  We will explore how to access deeper states of consciousness, more fluid fields of awareness, and the life force within utilizing the tools and techniques of ancient traditions.  You can access this most potent part of yourself for transformation clarity direction and supreme joy.

Mary-Jo Fetterly is the inspiration and founder of Trinity Yoga Inc. a national Yoga Teacher Training, Personal Development and Advanced Studies School. Mary-Jo is particularly passionate about her work with Dr. Caroline Myss in Energy Anatomy, Rod Stryker & Tantra Yoga, Adyashanti, and loves to teach others about their chakras and energy systems.  www.mary-jo.com & www.trinityyoga.net

#7 Spirit, Women, and Words

Writing can serve as both a vehicle for connection to spirit and a means to strengthen that connection. After a guided visualization, we will write based on the concept of the body as a portal through which Spirit demonstrates the search for Spirit in the everyday, and our pivotal spiritual experiences.

Marni Norwich is a writer/editor and author of Wildflowers at my doorstep (Karma Press, 2008). She’s been facilitating writing workshops since 1993, through community centres, educational programs, and prisons.

#8 TRANCEformative Journeys:

Hypnosis for creativity, healing and spiritual growth

Hypnotherapy (see below disclaimer) is a form of psychotherapy that employs hypnotic trance as a tool to unlock the inner resources of the subconscious mind for creativity, healing, and spiritual growth.  In this workshop, I gently guide participants through two deeply relaxing, transformative hypnotherapy exercises. Please bring a blanket, pillow, pen and paper.

Alison Pryer, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist currently practicing in Vancouver.  She is a full member of the Canadian Hypnotherapy Association. www.theinnerpath.ca

* Should a participant have any concerns about the effect of hypnosis on underlying health issues, it is best for them to talk to their doctor before the conference, or email me before the workshop.
